Diving Into Summer

A friend threw a little swim party at her in-laws yesterday and we were very excited to go, especially since the weather was perfect for a day at the pool. Morgan surprised me by following her friend right down the slide and off of the diving board. She even wanted to jump in without her life jacket, but we're not quite there on the swimming skills yet.
M "diving" in.
Swimming in the deep end.
It would have been better if she wasn't wearing the jacket, but at least she's practicing.
Back float!

The camera took this picture a little sooner than I thought it would so you can only really see her feet, but that's M taking on the slide.
The Slide
Vi was more into the chocolate cookies than the actual swimming.
We were there for almost four hours and the kids only got out of the pool twice, both times for a Popsicle break. It was a fantastic way to help us feel like summer has finally started.

I think we may need to get vi a bigger hat. Looks like a great time! You would be happy to know it hasn't been terribly warm here since last week.

Yes, Vi does need a bigger hat for her "small adult size" head. That's a direct quote from her pediatrician.
