We should also note that if our future livelihood depends on medium-scale, heavily armed games of capture the flag and/or bomb-related assault (neutral and otherwise), at least we'll hit the ground with some experience and probably hold our own.
If the future is slayer or territories, I think we're screwed.

Hmm. It seems likely that any battle will be one of territorial struggle. Unfortunate, because those are the least entertaining.
