3 Weeks Old

Violet is three weeks old today. It's hard to believe that it's already been three weeks and at the same time it sort of feels like we've had her forever. She has been a great baby, sleeping most of the night, happy and smiley whenever she's awake, eating well, and rarely cries, but wow can she yell when she wants to! Morgan was the same way, just a really happy, easy to take care of baby, and we feel very spoiled to have such great babies. We all love Violet and are so happy she's a part of our family now.

Today Morgan and I decided to finish up all of our Christmas preparations. First we tried to hang some Christmas lights outside, but quickly realized that our plan on using packing tape to attach the lights to the stucco house was not going to work and abandoned the project until Brad gets home. We then came inside and began our next Christmas project - building a gingerbread house.
I bought a kit at the store that came with everything from the frosting to the candy and all we had to do was assemble it. I was in charge of frosting and Morgan was in charge of the candy and loved every second of it. She really got into it and was very intently placing the candy just so. It took about an hour from start to finish and we had a great time. We think it looks great!

We took the girls to our community Christmas party last week at one of the local parks. It was cool enough that we all wore coats and with the fake snow they had blowing it really had a festive feel. We started the evening with a 'Reindeer Ride'. Morgan got to ride on Cinnamon and thought it was the greatest experience of her young life.
After that we visited the big man himself.
On our way to our last activity we stopped in the dance tent to hang out with some of the visiting characters. We’ve got a crazy video of the Gingerbread man getting his groove on, but blogger won’t let me upload it so maybe Brad can get it up later.
We ran into one of Morgan's best friends, Keller, and his family and we all finished the evening with a ride on the train. We have really enjoyed the neighborhood we moved into with all of the great parks, events, and new friends we've made.

I can't believe I haven't met Violet, yet! Soon . . . Soon.
You all look great, and Morgan just looks so pretty and grown up.

I agree with Kim... it is weird to think that she is a real person since I have yet to meet the wee little lass. All in due time! Tanner is so excited for M to come up! He wants to go sledding and color and show her the Christmas lights and blah blah blah... she is going to be very busy! Anyway, we are excited for you to come! even if it is after Christmas! That party looks hopping! Later
